Sexual partner psychosis

Sexual partner complaints

If your sexual partner is paranoid, anxious or psychotic, try these tips to help them.

Communicate calmly and understandingly. It often helps to address someone by their first name.

Keep them in the here and now. Keep talking calmly. Listen to their stories.

Remove them from the sexual setting. Find a quiet environment with minimal stimuli. Fresh outdoor air works wonders.

Turn off lights, porn, laptop, music and TV.

Never tell them that the psychosis experience is not real. This can be a negative trigger.

Do not get angry and avoid discussions.

Never leave them to their own devices.

If the situation worsens, CALL 112 and be open about using chems.
